PDLS has just been awarded the 5th Green flag for Biodiversity. There were a lot of changes around the school while we were working on the Biodiversity theme. Bug hotels and bird feeders were introduced, a wide variety of spring flowering bulbs planted, a wild meadow area was set aside, and wild flowers were scattered in many areas around the school. Students from all year groups are encouraged to join in with the Green School Actions . We have a committee who meet weekly to plan and organise the many activities. We have already started to work on the theme for the next flag, which is Global Citizenship-Litter and waste.
