Wellread Team consists of Ms. Coburn and students from all year
groups who share a love of reading and work to promote literacy across
the school community. They meet and organize activities to support
creativity and encourage students to take leadership roles.
In the past they made visits to a primary school and a playschool to read with other
students, arranged a Plant a Seed Speed Reading activity with 1st years,
arranged for visits to the library, held creative writing and design a
literacy booklet cover page competitions, organized monthly Drop
Everything and Reads, produced a collaborative Empathy supplement
for The Pres Release, facilitated a Book Club, hosted a Book Donation
Drive and more. The team also successfully secured the National
Wellread Award for PDLS from Oide.
